This is amazing…
When we all think of pyramids, we usually think of 2 main places:
- The Pyramids of Giza
- Chichen Itza, Mexico
Granted, there are other popular ones, true. But these are the biggies. And while most pyramids are triangular in shape, the base can be trilateral, quadrilateral, or any polygon shape. And “pyramids” can be a very questionable and mixed description. There is no exact definition; flat-toped, stepped, pyramid hill, monks mounds, rounded bases, pointed…
This is why it’s almost impossible to calculate the real number.
But how many do you think there are across the globe?
You may be surprised.
Pyramids are found in all continents; Egypt, Sudan, Nigeria, Greece, Spain, China, India, Indonesia, Peru, Thailand, Turkey, and even the US and Canada (to name a few).
And as of today, there are an estimated 1037 pyramids in existence.
(Plus, who knows how many are under the sea.)
And… There are even pyramids on Mars!
So the exact number, will always be a question mark.
