It’s the Stairs of Death, located in Huayna Picchu, Peru, and it certainly is a breathtaking experience. Not only is it 600 feet of natural wonder and beauty, but it’s the craziest, scariest, place to hike in the world. Built over 500 years ago, the 1600 stairs are rugged, the cliff steep (60 degrees), slippery, and rises up the mountain with sheer unforgiving drop to death. The summit is located just north of the Inca City, 8,923 feet above sea level.
Beautiful, frightening, and even harder to climb down… Would you dare?
