A father came home from a long business trip to find his son riding a brand new 10-speed bike.
“Where’d you get the money for that bike?” His father asked.
“I earned it from hiking,” the son replied.
“Hiking?” The father shook his head, “Come on, tell me the truth, boy. That bike probably costs over $300. Where’d you get the money?”
“Dad,” the kid said. “That is the truth. I earned it from hiking. Every night, when you were gone, Mr. Reynolds, the mailman, would come over to see mom. Then he’d hand me a $20 bill and tell me to take a hike!”
